# Kaila — product vision

**Kaila** is a production-grade training simulator for UHF television transmitter facilities.

You walk into a recreation of the transmitter building, sit at the control console, and operate **both analog and digital transmitters** as a real engineer would. Modern GPUs deliver real-time spectacle: electron bunching inside tube cutaways, signal propagation over terrain, and multi-tower coverage.

## Why it exists

- Train broadcast engineers without risking the on-air plant  
- Teach the analog → digital transition with instruments that *feel* real  
- Preserve institutional knowledge as veterans retire  
- Make RF visible — for people who learn with their eyes as well as their meters  

## Dual-mode

- **Analog** — NTSC/PAL-class chains, tube-world discipline  
- **Digital** — 8VSB / ATSC-class chains, MER and constellation culture  

## Honesty

v0.x is a **training twin**, not lab metrology and not on-air tooling.

Station and site parameters are **training-plausible**, parameterized from public data sources. Always verify operational figures from primary filings and your own facility documentation.
